Community Services

Community Services provides outpatient mental health services for individuals admitted to the Case Management and Residential Programs. The goal of these services is to promote successful independent functioning and recovery while enhancing the resilience of individuals receiving services. All programs are located in Jackson .

In addition to the programs listed, Community Services provides psychiatric medication management, psychiatric nursing services and psychological services. A psychologist is available to provide individual and group therapy, and general psychological consultation. Psychology staff also provide individual and group counseling for individuals diagnosed with a co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse/dependence disorder. Vocational training instructors provide daily living skills training.
Opportunity House
Opportunity House , a psychosocial clubhouse program, provides a therapeutic environment and purposeful activities. By participating in the clubhouse program, individuals are able to re-establish skills and the self-confidence needed to enhance successful daily functioning. Eligible individuals may also participate in the Transitional Employment Program (TEP). The goal of TEP is to provide opportunities for individuals to return to the work force in a gradual manner.
